Playing around with a new toy . . . .

Well, after months of waiting, I finally got myself a new toy. And if I weren't so hugely pregnant and tired, I'd get off my sorry bottom to go take a photo of it. However, there's no real need as the kind folks at Canon already have done that for me.

So, I did get off the couch to do a little mini session this week with a beautiful model and my new camera. Oh, and to use my studio lights that haven't seen much use in the last month or two.

So here you go! I shot these in RAW (of course), but I was astonished how little post processing they needed. I didn't run any of my actions. Just a quick contrast boost. Anything else would have been too much!

Personally, My Biggest News of the Year

Well folks, there is actually a very good reason that I haven't been posting or shooting as much as of late.

Yes, after several years of more treatments than I care to mention, we are finally expecting another little one. A little boy due around the end the June. I'm so thrilled for this pregnancy, but have had to really slow down because of it. I haven't been able to take on as many shoots or projects as I normally would, but it's all for a good cause! I'm just happy that so far the baby is healthy and everything is progressing normally.

Not much else to say . . . . just that I'm tired a lot of the time and don't have as much energy as I'm used to. But that is to be expected.

Thanks again to all of you who regularly visit here. I am resolved to be better about posting to my blog. I have several freebies I've been meaning to get up here. So check back!
